We believe every student can succeed in their GCSEs. Our mission is simple: create revision tools that genuinely improve your chances of getting the grades you want. Exams are tough, and exam season can be stressful, so having the right support makes a big difference.

We specialise in turning difficult topics into clear, manageable revision. Our summaries are written by high-achieving students who have just smashed their GCSEs in straightforward language, then checked and approved through a strict quality process.

Who are we?

ExamEssentials is the UK branch of ExamenOverzicht, an established exam preparation platform offering mainly summaries. It was founded in 2012 by three entrepreneurial students from Erasmus University Rotterdam, inspired by their own need for clear and understandable study materials. At university, they discovered a simple truth: the best summaries were written by the best students, in language other students actually understand.

That insight became the foundation of ExamenOverzicht, and it turned into a proven system for helping secondary school students succeed. After years of success in the Netherlands, we are now expanding to the UK to support GCSE students with the same student-first approach.

We are always improving, updating our content based on feedback, clarifying tricky concepts, and adding helpful extras such as QR codes linking to supporting videos. And we are not stopping there. Over the coming years, we will keep building new resources and tools to help more students revise with confidence and succeed in their exams.
